Life just became better in Paya Lebar with the debut of Golden Village (GV) Paya Lebar. The Paya Lebar Quarter is a multi-activity, master planned community consisting of both residential and commercial facilities. Though the area is filled with amazing amenities, including three swimming pools, wide open, green spaces, easy access to the Paya Lebar shopping centre and transport routes, it was still lacking a cinema.
With no nearby theatres, some film lovers had taken to calling the area a ‘cinema desert’. Thankfully, with the introduction of GV Paya Lebar, moviegoers can finally enjoy all of the latest blockbusters and indie flicks.
A New Cinema
Paya Lebar’s new cinema is located at the third level of the SingPost Centre Mall. Operated by the Golden Village Multiplex, which is Singapore’s largest cinema franchise, the theatre is accessible directly from the Paya Lebar MRT station.
GV Paya Lebar boasts eight halls with a total of 756 seats, and is the first local cinema with a laser projection system for a sharper, brighter picture. Of the eight halls, the premium Duo Deluxe auditorium offers a luxurious cinema experience. The auditorium has larger, comfier seats with improved back support.
Moviegoers can try some exclusive foods and beverages at GV’s Grab & Gold Cafe, which is located right outside the cinemas. As well as fritters, pizza and fries, the usual offerings of popcorn and other movie snacks are also available.
A Comfortable Life at Paya Lebar
Paya Lebar Quarter is quickly becoming the ‘Social Heart of the East’. With its beautiful open spaces and world-class retail malls, every visit to the neighbourhood provides a new opportunity to explore and discover something new.
Residents and visitors alike are free to try the very best of international cuisine, shopping and entertainment ‒ and with the opening of the new cinema complex, they can now enjoy great films as well.
There is no doubt that Paya Lebar Quarter offers a comfortable, cosmopolitan life in the heart of Singapore.
