You’ve probably read a lot of information about breast augmentation, and you may have already prepared yourself for it physically, emotionally, and mentally. Sometimes, however, it can still be overwhelming. Here are some of the things you need to remember on the day of your operation. Keep these reminders in check when you go for your breast augmentation surgery in Lake Havasu.
1. Do not put any makeup, even deodorant.
Once you’ve showered fully with the prescribed cleaning solution (many use Betadine™ for this), it’s important to avoid putting on any deodorant. For women who cannot go out without a full face on, this is one of those times when it’s important to avoid wearing makeup at least for a while.
2. Plan your outfit.
When we say plan your outfit, we mean to say you have to wear comfortable clothes. Loose clothes are best, but make sure you don’t wear any pullover tops. Avoid wearing pantyhose and leggings, as well. Moreover, leave the jewelry at home and avoid using any hairpiece like bobby pins and hair extensions.
3. Make sure that you’re not alone.
If you’re living alone, ensure that you ask someone to accompany you to the hospital and during the first 24 hours post-surgery. Remember that after the procedure, you can’t do much so you need someone to take care of you at least for a while. It’s important to stock your home with home-cooked meals prepared in advance, so you don’t have to cook. Let someone else feed your pets, if you have one.
The faster you can recover, the faster you can get back on track and enjoy the benefits of breast augmentation. To recover fast, you need to give yourself time to heal and accept any help you can get.
